On a complete whim, I decided to stop at the Salvo on the way home from work yesterday. The last few trips to various thrift stores have been duds, so I was very pleasantly surprised to find some GREAT stuff! For less than $10 I got alllll this….DANG I LOVE THE SALVO!
This little wooden carrier is so stinkin cute…I just love the little cubbies. I am thinking of painting it black and distressing it.
My favorite folk artist is Warren Kimble, so I just had to pick up this 50 cent little glass candle holder with Warren Kimble art on the front. I plan on texturing the outside around the picture with the dark brown texture fierro.
I saw this heavy rod-iron beauty and didn’t know what it was, but had to have it. I think I remember my mom having one hanging up as a wall decoration in the house growing up. I looked it up online and found out it is an old Victorian style match holder with a striker on the side (the little ribbed part on the side bottom). I believe it is a replica, because it is in near perfect condition. Either way, it’s pretty darn cool.
Bowls, bowls, bowls. I can always use wooden bowls.
I love how shallow they are!
And the find of the day…this gorgeous enamelware pan! My eyes almost popped out of my head when I saw it, because as you probably know I loooooove enamelware! It is perfectly worn and would look great in my booth holding some Christmas ornaments or small signs.
Going to the thrift store is like a treasure hunt…and this time I struck gold!!!
Have a GREAT weekend ya’ll!!!
