First I want to say thank you for all the support and kind words from everyone about the craft show. I really appreciate all the encouragement! It went so well and it makes me all the more excited for next year…or possibly another show maybe in the Fall!
So before the show I was able to get some decorating done. I really skimped last year and we didn’t even get a tree (we got so busy and ran out of time…you know how that goes!), so this year I wasn’t gonna let that happen. Here are a few of my favorites…
This lady had a booth at the local craft co-op but is no longer there, which makes me very sad. 😦 She makes these wooden pieces and paints them herself, which has always inspired me. I have gotten lots of ideas from her work. I love this speckled wooden candy cane!
Greg’s mom gave this to us a few years ago, which was made by a family friend. The snowball body is made of foam balls covered in corn husks…how clever!
And of course the tree! Yes, I already posted a similar picture, but I’m posting it again because it makes me happy. 🙂
Though they are not really country themed, these singing dogs are one of my all time favorite decorations…thanks Mom! They really annoy Greg but I love their “arf arf arf arf arffff…arf arf arf arf.” (to the tune of fa la la la la…) lol!
Got this lil snowman head at the craft show. I love any decoration on a stick, because I can stick them anywhere!
Another cute idea…I picked this “snowman pop” up at the craft show as well. I thought it was so cool and have never seen anything like it! I am certain the head is made of salt dough…something I have been wanting to try for ages. Hmmm…
This isn’t exactly a Christmas decoration, but we were in the decorating mood and put up this great wooden piece in the kitchen. It was going to be sold in the show, but Greg and I loved it so much that we decided to keep it. As if I need more places to put little knick-knacks. 🙂
Have a great day everyone and DRIVE SAFE! We are getting absolutely pounded today…it’s a winter wonderland out there!
