This craft tutorial is in honor of a special someone who just turned 1 last week…and according to mama, this special someone now likes to play with magnets! I looked all over for fun kid-themed magnets for a birthday gift and couldn’t find any, so I said screw it – I’m makin’ em! They came out cute so I thought I’d share…because I think they would be fun to make with kids too!
Here’s whatcha need:
Magnets found in the office supply isle at TARGET…my most favorite store evvver! They are all different sizes and colors, and come like 30 to a pack or something – very economical!
Sharpie Paint Markers, which come in all kinds of colors, widths, finishes…you pick!
These would be great for the kids to personalize and give as gifts or just a fun craft project in general!
In other news, I stopped by the co-op yesterday and saw the completed patio space outside the entrance way…how cute is this? We plan on putting gardening stuff out there, along with vintage, wood, rod-iron and wicker patio furniture. It also makes a nice place to enjoy a cup of coffee and/or food during one of our events!
I personally don’t have anything to display out in this area, but that won’t stop me from sitting out there and enjoying a little sunshine! 🙂 I really need to get some new stuff in my booth…time to change it up. I have a 10% off sale going on right now to try to clear out some space…hope it works!
Hope everyone’s summer is going well so far…it’s been gorgeous here the last few days! I love Upstate NY in the summer time! Got some really neat finds to share in my next post from my step-dad’s 1860 farm house that he is taking down – dismantling board by board to re-use the wood and possible sell some of the original structural units. It’s soooo cool…I’ll share and post some pix soon! Have a great day! 🙂
